Past Programmes

Climathon Waikato

Climathon was our climate-action programme that empowered changemakers across the Waikato to advance climate solutions, rethink our way of living, and build a future we’re proud to pass on.

From 2021 to 2023, we supported over 200 people in driving transformative climate action. Last year, participants reported a 37% increase in connectedness and a 22% increase in hope for the future.

This initiative was made possible by The Ministry for the Environment, Trust Waikato, The University of Waikato, Waikato Plan, Hamilton City Council, Waikato Wellbeing Project, and Seed Waikato.

Co-Creatives

Co-Creatives was a 12-week accelerator designed to help South Waikato-based creatives start a business, develop a side hustle, or build an income stream through their craft.

The programme blended artistic inspiration with entrepreneurial training, providing participants with the tools to launch or grow their creative businesses.

In 2022 and 2023, 19 creatives took part, reporting a 14% increase in wellbeing and a 79% boost in their sense of connection.

Thanks to the Ministry for Culture and Heritage for their support.

Back to Purpose

Back to Purpose was an 8-week entrepreneurial accelerator that ran in 2020 and 2021, aimed at connecting and inspiring a new wave of changemakers.

Created in response to Covid-19, it offered those who had lost jobs or were struggling with their businesses, a chance to upskill and connect with the Kiwi startup scene.

With support from the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment, we supported 38 participants from across Aotearoa. 95% said they would continue their business ideas after the programme.

Open Challenge Accelerator

The Open Challenge Accelerator was an 8-month programme launched in 2020 to support early growth-stage impact businesses in New Zealand.

As our first programme ever delivered, it combined the global expertise of the Impact Hub network with local insights to help entrepreneurs pursue business models that positively impacted people, prosperity, and the planet.

We supported 8 entrepreneurs, achieving a 70% improvement in their capabilities.

Thanks to Bay Trust, TECT, Trust Waikato, and Waikato Farmers Trust for their support.
